My TV only accepts an NTSC signal through component.

A few months ago I bought an HK DV30 which I have set to output NTSC; so I can watch PAL material through component.

I have also set it to prog scan which my TV can process (provided it's output in NTSC).

With my previous player I'd gotten into the habit of only buying Region 1 DVDs. Will the pq on this player be as good playing converted PAL material on a prog scan setting (will this actually be prog scan?) as it is playing regular NTSC prog scan?

Can I start buying R2 DVDs again?

    Thanks in advance. :)
