I have my 360 set to automatically connect to 'live' when it's switched on.

However, just before xmas it would occasionally fail to connect. I'd try to connect via the dashboard but it would always say it couldn't connect. I'd have to turn the 360 off and on a few times and eventually it would connect. I now have my wireless module on the back of the HD-DVD drive and the connection problem persists. Sometimes it connects to 'live' straight away, other times not. I have not changed the position of my wireless router nor the position of the 360. In fact, nothing has changed. The wireless module is actually picking up a stronger signal now it's connected to the HD-DVD drive, as it's now higher up with more space around it.

The problem seems to be worse after a 'cold' start i.e. if the console has been off for a day or so. Once it's connected and I switch it off then back on again ten minutes later it's ok. Also, once I'm connected to 'live' it stays rock solid...the connection never drops out.

    Any ideas?

So where is it failing? IP? MTU?

No-one's going to be able to help with just 'sometimes I can't connect?'
