Not 100% certain but....

    ...I think my PT-AE 300 has got a dead pixel.
    Its a really small green dot near the centre & it only shows up when certain colours are being displayed. IMO I thought a dead pixel would be a tad bigger
    that's why I'm not certain.
    I've tested it using my PC (Paint program, various colours) & other dots show up too (not as bright though) Could this be down to dust on the lens?
    I've only had the PJ since Feb this year & I want to be certain its a dead pixel before I contact the retailer & ask them what they can do about it

    Sounds like a dead pixel - it should be a bright point, rather than a "blob" which normally indicates a dust problem. There should be a Service Menu mode on the AE300 with the ability to display test screens of solid Red, Green and Blue - a dead pixel should show up best here.

    Anyone know how to access the Service menu on the AE300? 'Cos I don't...
