Noobie Sky+ planner question....

I set up a particular series to record with the series link. After a while there was the case where there were no more shows in the series, and that show just sort of dropped off the to-be recorded list.

Do I need to add that series back manually, or do they re-appear when more shows are back in the guide?

(I hope I asked that question in an understandable way....)

Yes you will have to set up a new series link next time, also you have to keep an eye on series links disappearing for no apparent reason.

I only ever realise my series links have suddenly vanished the day after the programme was due to be recorded!

Anyone know why they drop off?

Its just because the sky box is a bit buggy, a reset usually cures problems. make sure you have the current software, press services/system setup/system details Its 4.1 at the moment some people have received 4.2

The series link relies on the broadcaster putting the right data in the EPG information they supply to Sky

It has been known that when a broadcaster updates their own EPG info the series links that existed are not transferred over if a new timeslot has been entered, sloppy work on the part of the broadcaster.
The old CNX/Toonami were the leading exponant of this particular issue, you couldn't trust a series link for a day let alone a week:)
