    Hi guys, newbie american here...

I need some advice on what kind of TV to purchase...

This is what I do with my television -

Play XBOX (probably the #1 thing)
    Watch DVD's
Watch sports, mainly NFL or NBA

I have a 36" Sony Wega right now, but want better quality. I am willing to spend $4000-5000.

What would best fit what I do?

    42" Plasma?
    front projection?
    rear projection?

Anything I get, I would want HD compatible of course and I will get a HD tuner later on down the road.

Sorry for such a generic question and I appreciate any help that can be offered.

    Thx!

    Hi,
I think you have taken a wrong turn somewhere, you need to be at http://www.avsforum.com . This is a UK based forum and whilst you are most welcome, your needs would be best served at the AVS forums as that is based in the US and can address your specifics in detail.

We don't have any Hi-Def broadcasts in the UK so couldn't really help you out on what the best HD compatible equipment is as we simply wouldn't know. The US is light years ahead of us in this capacity.

    Regards,
    Paul
