Noob help... error 8002AD23

right, i know u have probably heard this a million times before, but i will ask again can't make sense of the answers given out there because i am new to networks and PS3s.... but i am good at following instructions

anyhow, this error 8002AD23 keeps logging me out every 3 minutes, and i get to 30% or so on downloads before they log me out...

i am with Virgin Media (UK) and am using a Belkin FSD7230-4 Router....

Help please...

Found to be related to a connection issue. Check firewall settings.

well, the lovely chaps at Virgin Media decided to do maintenance work in my area and leave me without a connection for 2 days... nice of them...

anyhow, how and where do i check my firewall settings. on my comp or my PS3 or....
