I am in UK, bought HD3 in UK.
Installed SS2.3 from CD - all OK
Installed SS3.0 from US site - Initialised HD as requested
    Receive message "Non-US Access"
Installed SS3.1 FROM UK SITE (I am sure of it)
SS installs OK, and links to Connect UK site (all prices are in £)

but still tells me that I cannot "authorise" the device (usual Non-US access message)
This means that I cannot downoad and transfer songs to the HD3

    what can I do?

SS 3.1 not fully linked with Europe CONNECT yet. read on another thread. Can use it, browse CONNECT, but can't download. I think its some CONNECT components. Have to wait for drivers to be released.

Typical. Europe waits ages for SS 3.1 (one 1/2 month after US/Jap), and its still not all here yet

This is very odd. I downloaded SS3.1 a few weeks ago and it worked straight away, lets me download and transfer to the HD3. There was no authorisation to be done and it transfered everything from the former SS too.
