I think the answer is no, but does anyone know of an alternative AV cable for the iPhone/iPod Touch/iPod Nano which connects to the dock connector and then to the composite inputs of a television or projector?
I know Apple offer either a composite or component version, but it comes bundled with a power adaptor for £35. Having several iPod power adaptors already, I'm baulking at paying so much for what is barely a £5 cable; I'd begrudge Apple £20 tops for a cable, but the extra £15 hurts.
[iLounge reckoned that there was a authentication chip:

EDIT: Should have checked again - found a news link from Friday 16th - forthcoming from ezgear at $40. No doubt be £40 here, so looks like Apple may well win out. Bah!
