I have a Nokia ITVDigital (nee OnDigital) box. The picture and sound is pretty good, but it has the annoying problem of locking-up after being left on for several hours. It does not respond to any key presses from the remote or the keys on the front of the box, with the exception of the 'Reset' key. There does not to be a consisent pattern to this, other than it happens occasionally if there are no channel changes made to it.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

    Regards

    Rob

Mine is really P*****G me off at the moment. I have to keep on unplugging it (after advice from ITV Digital). Because I rent it I am going to ask for a Pace box (as far as I am concerned I am not able to fully use the service therefore give me another box).
ITV digital suggested it was using the active stuff - Wimbeldon, Big Brother etc.

Yes, my one has been doing it for a long time, well before ITV digital. Noting short of unplugging it brings it back to life

I had a Nokia on the Pre-pay scheme. It did exactly the same thing. When my year was up, I let them collect it and then went out and got a Pace 735 pre-pay box. Problem solved.

I have a nokia box which froze on a regular basis while on the BBC channels. Spoke to ON DIGITAL who said it was a known problem on the Nokia's. They sent me a software update which seemed to remedy the problem, but I have noticed it came back when trying to use the interactive services from the Beeb during Wimbledon & Open Golf.

As I'm getting rid of it at end of the contract, can't be bother to go through all the phone calls with ON DIGITAL (ITV DIGITAL) again !!!

I used to have a locking problem eith my Nokia box but, not any more.
I sometimes leave my box on for various reasons and have had no problems recently
I suggest you ask ITV Digital Technical to check out your software.
or go into menu press 7 Technical Information then 2 Manufacturer Data
Check the Data. The latest upgrade should read : hardware version 00 00 03 07 software version; 00 48 03 09 api version. 00 12 35 04 run version: 00 07 03 0e.
If yours is different tell ITV Digital.
New software is being prepared and will be sent to us soon which, may change the menu's as the name for a start has to be changed from Ondigital to ITV Digital.
I hope I have been able to give you some help from my past experience.
