The problem on some AVR-100's with a loud humming from the centre channel has been widely reported, but can anyone tell me how loud this hum is amps that have been returned as faulty. Low level interference or serious distraction ?
My amp has two minor problems :
1) A quiet but noticeable hum from the centre channel when the amp is idle. Not noticeable when I'm listening to anything.
2) I could always hear a clicking noise when changing volume through the front L/R speakers but it was barely audible (certainly not a fault). However, since adding the rear speakers I've found that the rear L/R amp's are affected much more. The clicks are audible even when music/movies are playing and the volume is increased or decreased.
What do you AVR-100 owners think ? Time to get it checked out ? Fault or are they all the same ?
<br />Thanks for any opinions
