No video signal from Onkyo TX NR686 on Samsung QLED 2021

hi and thanks for reading! I've been using my Onkyo TX NR-686 without issues for a while, upgraded my tv yesterday to a 4K Samsung QLED 65QN95A and it won't display anything at all. Arc works, I'm getting audio if I plug another hdmi device into the TV over the HDMI arc port to the Onkyo, CEC also works as my TV turns the Onkyo on as well. When I connect the Onkyo main out to the Samsung One Connect box it starts scanning and finds something that it says is an AV Receiver but then goes back to No Signal. Updated firmware on both the Onkyo and Samsung, no dice. Also disconnected both devices from power for a bit. Tried with a macbook and a PS4 as inputs on the Onkyo, on different ports. Tried enabling/disabling HDM Enhanced and Deep Color settings without any change sadly. I'd love to hear an idea on how to fix this if anyone knows! The cable from the Onkyo to the TV is a brand new 2.1 spec by the way.
