No Sound via Arcam AVR10 and LG TV

Needing some help here, friends. Have a 2021 LG tv that I'm trying to hook up to my new Arcam AVR10 receiver, but no sound? I have an older Denon receiver and used the same cable, so I know the tv optical out and the cable are both good. But I get zip sound when I plug it directly into the AV/Optical port on the new AVR10. Also made sure the receiver is firmware updated and it is.

HELP? Currently have a $2k paperweight.

Have you checked the on screen display input options? On my Arcam you need to select an audio source (digital, analogue or HDMI) for each input.

You need to map the AV optical input on the AVR10 to the AV source button in the Input Config Menu, otherwise it defaults to the AV HDMI connection.

(Alternatively, you could set up the extended audio return channel from the TV over HDMI Output 1 instead of using an optical connection over the AV input).
