I have connected my Xbox 360 via the Component video Input and there is no sound. The Red and White leads don't seem to work anywhere. It says i will need a new cable. What cable will be best?

I am useing Hd lead with 360 red blue green and running sound with fiber optic lead that way you get 5.1 sound from games and dvds I have HD DVD addon which works really well I think red and white work with normal output but when you switch to HD output It might disable them there is switch on cable block that plugs in to 360 check setting:)

i have a philips 42pf7521/d..almost the same thing..

i have the 360 connected through vga cable, and vga-dvi adaptor, as my tv has only this connection. the audio is fed throught the dvi audio in.

i have great picture and sound..

did you know..

there is a magic button on that remote control of yours!! it took me almost a year to find it..my picutre was crap when i got the tv..didnt matter what i did or how i fiddled, i just couldn't imporove the crap pictre and grainy blacks..

second row of buttons from the bottom..third button from the left..it has SMART written above it and a empty box on the button..press it..it cycles between presets, choose SOFT, then go and turn up the brightness a couple of 68 is good. VOILA a NEW TV!!!!

hope this helps!!

When you say Fiber optic lead, is that a digital audio lead? and does that plug in at the cable block on the 360 and the other end at the tv?

my tv has a single socket dvi audio in. the 360 vga cable has red and white audio plugs, which i have plugged into a jack then into the single socket dvi audio in.

hope this helps!
