I have a two-sided DVD of the film Gettysburg. I've had it for several years and it's always played well. However, it now plays on one side only. On the other side, I get a message on the TV screen saying 'no signal'.
Does anyone have an idea what the problem is? What can I do about it?

Thanks for any answers.

Probably ‘disc rot’ unfortunately. Time for a blu-ray upgrade if you like the movie. HMV sell a nice version of it.

Google…….Generally speaking, disc rot occurs due to chemical reactions with the reflective layer of the disc, ultraviolet light damage, scratches that expose the delicate and corrosive layer to environmental factors, or the deterioration of manufacturing materials.

HDDVD discs were notorious for disc rot

What's Google?
