No Sata to USB Cable

Hi all,
I am trying to change the hard drive in my Xbox one x and, of course you know, I need to format the new flash drive. I do not have a sata to usb cable currently and want to know if I can put the hard drive in the Xbox and then connect the USB port on the Xbox to the USB port on my computer and push it that way? And help or advice to get around needing this cable would be greatly appreciated!!

No, you cannot, as both devices will want to be the host - and you would need an A to A USB cable which don't really exist other than to connect a few dedicated types of equipment which don't use B type.

Just get the correct cable. They are very cheap and easy to get hold of.
