I've been offered a Pj that I'm quite interested in, however, it doesn't have the remote. I can't seem to track down anywhere that do spares (but was thinking they'd be expensive even if I did!).

Would a basic learning remote from Argos work even though I don't have the original remote?

If it's not a very old model i'm sure Philips will be able to get you a replasement.
Problem with a learning remote is that you need the original to learn from. With a Philips Pronto remote you can download the software from the net, that migh be a solution.

Thanks Mag, thought that might be the case but also thought it may even be able to learn from the Pj's own infra-red receiver. Not sure about the Pronto tho, call me nuts but I don't want to pay £70 for a remote! ;)

    Hi folks,

Checkout remotecentral.com, they archive a sh*t load of files for all types of learning remotes & hardware devices (inc PJ's).

You may find your model if you search there.

Hope this saves you a few quid:cool:
