No more FW updates for HD-DVD...

I sent an email asking if we would ever see a forced 1080p24 output as you do on BD players. I got this reply:

Unfortunately there will be no more firmware updates for the HD players.

It's to your satisfaction in as much as you have a defintive answer :devil:
Doesn't surprise me one bit - i'm amazed they came out with firmwares 3.0 and 4.0 after throwing in the towel - I suppose we should be grateful for that and the fact that they are still swapping faulty units for new ones - smaller companies might have just closed down the entire operation and told you to take it to the nearest authorised repair centre
 
why do you need forced anyway?, I thought the 605 was fine.
