No HDMI connection on Samsung B650 and Pioneer DCS575

Hi all,

I've recently purchased a Samsung B650 and have been trying to connect it up to my housemates Pioneer DCS-575 home cinema. The connection works fine through scart, but not through HDMI. The tv simply says "No signal", although it is at least detecting that something is plugged (as otherwise it says "check cable connection" or something similar). The only other HDMI device I have is my laptop, which has an HDMI out on it, and that works fine on the tv.

I'm definitely on the correcet HDMI port, and I've tried resetting the HDMI settings on the Pioneer, but with no change. Has anyone got any idea on how to get the HDMI working, or if they're simply incompatible for some reason?

Cheers,

I think I wasn't clear enough in my title. Both the Samsun and Pioneer have HDMI ports, but they don't work when connected together. I was wondering if there's some setting I've missed, or if they're incompatible with each other.
