I got a rift and tried it out on a few games. Didn't like not being able to just look behind me and see my wife behind me at her computer or the kids when they walked in and asked a question. Didn't like having the bulk of the big sweaty head gear making me uncomfortable.
I bought 4 of them so we could all use it, but none of the others n the family liked it any better than I did and for the same reasons.
They now sit in a drawer with the 3D glasses for our 3D tv that also never caught on with us.
As it is currently, it just isn't very impressive to us.
It was ok for a few minutes, but not anything worth using a lot. Like the Kinect, it was fun for a short time and then doesn't get much if any use.
