As per title,
Is there or will there ever be such a thing for the "installed" games?

technology these days.....i get very lazy, i cant be bothered to change discs! :D

I very much doubt it due to the complexity of the integral technology and the dubious can of worms that developers of such patches open.

It's not just me then!!!!
It's one of the reasons I like Steam on the PC :)

More games will come out as downloadables, like GT5 Prologue was. Ideal for people like us. :D

only problem - download version tends to be full retail vs boxed version cheaper ! lol

like prologue can pick it up for 17.99 or so .. or 24.99 on PSN

Plus you can re-sell a boxed version when you get bored of it or if it's rubbish...........

Did the boxed GT5P install the full game to HDD, I didn't think it did.

Anyway, most other games like GTA & UT3 don't install the full game so there couldn't be any No-CD patch and if it's a downloadable game, there's no need because there is no CD.

if games are taking up to 50gb because of the blu ray then they could never have the whole thing install to the hdd.
