I have a few old LP's which I would like to clean. I have the software and the cables, the only problem is, my stereo has no audio out sockets. Is there a way to connect to my pc so that I can record from my stereo?

Has your stereo got a headphones socket?

Yes it has. Will that be a good enough connection?

in a word, maybe ;) You should be able to get a cheapo cable to connect the stereo to your PC (maplin should have something for under a fiver) so it's probably worth trying this first, before anything more complicated - see what you think of the sound quality.

One other thought - make sure to start with the volume on everything turned low if you try plugging your headphone socket into your PC, then turn up slowly taking care not to go too loud. Very unlikely to cause any problems, but these things can be set to different levels - so better safe than sorry :)
