    Nixon (Election Year Edition) (1995)
Has any body seen this blu-ray?
I read a review which said the picture was not Anamorphic Widescreen. (I also read that a DVD version is Anamorphic Widescreen).
I find it hard to believe a blu-ray not being Anamorphic.
I would like to know what the quality is like.
Also can any one confirm if it's region free.
I think it's a great film and would love to buy it on blu-ray.

I have it and yes, it's region free.

Picture quality is fine. Nothing that will blow you away, but then it's not that sort of film, if you know what I mean. Lots of gloomy interiors etc.

...although doing a comparison with the Region 1 DVD, the Blu-Ray is a massive improvement. The DVD wasn't anamorphic but the Blu-Ray definitely is. Great film about "a two-bit grocery clerk from Whittier" as Kennedy described Nixon.

thanks for everyone's input. I will now order the disc
I was going to point out that the review above doesn't mention about the quality of the blu-ray and that it was just a very good review of the film -
but then I saw the link for the separate blu-ray review - great!
    Many thanks

Yes all of our reviews here, for both Blu-ray and the occassional DVD, cover the actual film then on a separate tab the technical details for video, audio and any extras.
