I have a Nissan Micra 1.4 SX 2003 it has the airbag light on permanently
Have connected tester which is not able to read airbag system
Under the passenger seat is a connector that is not connected to anything is this standard?
What is the best way to fix this fault

If it's the early 2003 model (old shape) you can unplug the wire(s) under the driver's seat, spray some WD40 on the connectors and reconnect. Start up the car and hopefully the light might go out.

If it's the later model then you can do the same thing, but the light will need switching off by someone with a diagnostic machine that will work with Nissan cars....Launch, Snap On, Bosch, etc.

If the car doesn't have a passenger air bag then the wire under the passenger seat will not be connected....it will probably be the wire for the passenger pre-tensioner.
