I guess we'll just have to wait. It seems like quite a risky marketing plan to me but if they can pull it off... :smashin:

PS3 and XBOX360 sites on IGN have been up for days, no revolution one yet even though they have one registered

IGN/Gamespy are Nintendo partners, somethings going on... I hope :)

I know what's going on. Nintendo, in league with the Greys killed Lincoln and Kenedy and blamed it on the illuminati.

Gamespot doesn't have a Revo section either whilst it's had X360 and PS3 areas up for a while so I don't think that argument holds much weight I'm afraid. :)

Well, whatever's going on we'll find out tommorrow. That Nintendonow article reads very much like an alien/newage conspiracy one.

well didnt they say they weren't gona have it, all the games would be in standard definition, just seems weird that they could outright lie like that. Unless they never said that, im not sure, i hope it does have it.

Even if it's only got a regular DVD drive it doesn't mean that the display can't be in hidef. I don't think Nintendo have made any comments about the video capabilities of their machine yet but we're all waiting. :)

I predict the "revolutionary" bit is going to be the yet unannounced controller

I think the revolutionary bit will be the fact that the DVD will stay in the same position while the console spin around it. :hiya:

I'd say the disc drive thing that they showed off a few days back will definately be the detatchable drive and we will no doubt be shown the rest of the console today.

Let's face it - E3 is by far the best place to show off a new console and if they did leave it as it is now then everyone would simply go away and talk about PS3 & 360. By the time the next E3 comes out both of those machines will have been released and Ninty will have missed the boat. For that reason i'm sure we will see the rest of the console soon for the revolution to be complete.

Hat's off to Ninty though for generating some further excitement.

If that is true then throughout the whole E3 so far and before it they have been leaving little clues and letting little things slip, to help you work out that what they was showing on the 17th was not the revolution atall

If thats true then its pretty ingenious i have to say if its not then its great fun anyway lol

I remember years back a record playing device being shown on the Big Breakfast. It was a little toy van with an inbuilt speaker and it zoomed round a record laid on a table using the stylus as a scalextric like guide.

But if that was the dvd player, why would it have a "reset" button? Is that what it says? I can't see on this crappy little monitor

Maybe it's the hardware emulation part of the console too. The unit specialising in DVDs and hardware emulation. If that's true it would need a very high speed data port.

Maybe that's the reset button for the console - just that it's located on the drive bit. The drive bit is probably a stand alone unit that is also part of the yet to be revealed bigger picture. I do hope so for Ninty's sake as what they have released so far woud be a huge let down if it was not accompanied by something else. As we have not seen a controller yet i'm fairly confident that they are holding back something impressive!

That could be it. A completely different stand-alone unit. Like the micro-GBA, maybe Nintendo have produced another console that'll play all their back catalogue.
