Nintendo are hosting another Nintendo Direct tomorrow, around 11pm. Hopefully we'll get some more info on the games announced in previous NDs like X, SMT X Fire Emblem, Hyrule Warriors etc.

It'll take a miracle to reverse all the negative press surrounding Wii U, I can't see there being much to announce that'll re-energise the console.

Ok, the ND starts at 10pm, not 11pm sorry guys!

In other news, employees from Platinum Games and Next Level Games (Luigi's Mansion 2), and Masuhiro Sakurai (Smash Bros) have tweeted about the ND, so maybe their games will be included somehow.

    Predictions:

More details on DK Tropical Freeze, Yoshi's New Island, and Prof Layton Vs Phoenix Wright.
Firm launch dates for SMT IV, Kirby Triple Deluxe and Mario Golf World Tour
Vague dates for Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, Smash Bros, Yarn Yoshi and Scribblenauts Unmasked
New trailers for Smash Bros, Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8, and X.
Some more details on when we can expect N64, GBA and DS games on Wii U VC.

    (less likely)
A couple of GameCube titles given an HD makeover, including Super Mario Sunshine HD, Wave Race Blue Storm, F-Zero GX
    Majora's Mask on 3DS
Dragon Quest 7 or 10 announced for Europe.
Luigi's Mansion 2 HD release on Wii U
Mario Strikers returns on 3DS or Wii U
    A new Excite Bots/Bike/Truck game
A new Mario vs Donkey Kong
Year of Metroid (20 years since Super Metroid)
Year of Donkey Kong (20 years since DKC released)
    Or Year of Devil World???

Finally, Iwata-San ends the ND with a glimpse at the new Zelda for Wii U

Sorry to be negative but i'm slowly losing interest and hope in these nintendo directs, never really seem to get what SHOULD be delivered. We know Nintendo need to turn things around sharpish and we've known that for a while yet despite having a truly stellar ND to instill faith and confidence back into us gamers we seem to get mediocre announcements and footage. I'm mostly left with that 'is that it?' feeling after the recent ND's, but theres always time to turn it around...

You're right, they need another big blowout like the ND last January which had Wii Party U, Yarn Yoshi, SMT X Fire Emblem, X, Wind Waker HD, Wii U VC, and the 30th Anniversary VC releases for 30p.

I think they will need to show off something from the new Zelda. I am hoping for another video of X and an announcement of a new StarFox or Fire Emblem for the Wii U.

When Next Level announced they had become a 2nd party developer they mentioned that they were getting better and better franchises to work on - Mario Strikers, Punch Out, Luigi's Mansion - I have a feeling they will be working on something special.

I will use this Nintendo Direct to remind myself to always keep any excitement I have about a Nintendo Direct to a bare minimum.

disappointing......again. Apart from MK and DKTF trailer the rest was very disappointing. 3DS doesnt interest me, was hoping for more footage of new wii u games but alas. Even the footage they showed of X wasnt very exciting! The announcement trailer of that game made it look fantastic and it probably will be but that in game footage was average imo. Oh well, at least my hopes werent that high this time so only had a little way to fall lol!

I learned that lesson after about the third one. Always be prepared for disappointment with Nintendo Directs, anything above that is a bonus.

There was not as much as I expected but it was nice to see how X is now looking. Good to see the combat mechanism from Xenoblade is being used. NES Remix 2 looks fun too. I enjoyed the first one. But where is news of Shin Megami X Fire Emblem?

Thought it was pretty good to be honest. There's a strong release line up heading to both 3ds and Wii U this year. We can argue all day about the commercial successes and failures of Nintendo and it was clear to me that the Wii U was really going to struggle, even before it released.

I can't escape the fact that there's some great games on the system and coming to the system however and with Super Smash Bros, DKCTF, MK8 and Bayonetta 2 heading exclusively to the console in the next few months, that's not bad at all.

The new monolith title looks fantastic too, really can't wait for that one :)

Pretty disappointing again...Great to see more of X, but why did we only get to see a battle and nothing else. Glad the Xenoblade battle system is back, but surely they could have shown some more of the overworld or a cut-scene or two? Nintendo Soccer Club looks like a guilty pleasure. I can see myself getting addicted to that pretty easily. Bayonetta 2 looked amazing.

Got a few predictions right too.
