    - Update on Virtual Console
    - a couple of little Switch eShop games from Nintendo (Pullblox or something like that)
    - new trailers for Pokemon on 3DS, Fire Emblem on Switch
    - spotlight on FIFA and Skyrim
    - Metroid 3DS feature vid
    - sneaky short look at Metroid Prime 4
    - finish with a Nindie show reel

Outside bet on them announcing the online subscription thing is still on course for next year and bluetooth support sometime in 2021.

Not building any hopes up - seen it all before so a little skeptical as to what's gonna push buttons.

I haven't picked up many on Switch yet, waiting for sales and in vain hope of some trophy/achievement appearing. Plus PS4 is taking up most of my gaming time these days.

Have a gander at some of the individual game threads, most have a video or two and some great reviews from forum regulars. The T'Other games thread has loads of vids of upcoming Nindies too.

Definitely look at the T'Other Games thread and individual game threads as most of them are for indies. I would recommend off the top of my head Graceful Explosion Machine, Cave Story, Ironcast, Wonder Boy, Tumbleweed, Fast RMX, Shovel Knight and Voez.

There's a lot of talk online about a Smash Bros port, and something from Platinum Games. Bayonetta 3 anyone? :)

I have played Smash Brothers since the N64 version!

I'm hoping for an earlier release date on Odyssey!

haha I know what you mean about Fallout 4 mate, I sold my ps4 before I could complete it, then bought if for the xone and sold that! Never played Skyrim so I'm hyped for that, love the massive rpg games but never got a chance with skyrim. Theres rumours about on the net that fallout 4 for switch could be the new game Bethesda have yet to announce, would love to get it on the switch. If these rumours are true and there will be some decent announcements tonight then I think switch third party support will have turned a corner. These are huge games to be announced for the switch and with LA Noire also coming out later this year, FIFA 18 as well as mario odyssey this christmas could be a turning point. Am proper hyped for the Direct now!

Some will say there old games but to me if I've not played them then bring it on, plus Skyrim and Fallout must be rather demanding games so just goes to show there's no real excuse to miss the switch out. Yes they may need scaling down somewhat and more optimisation but with the positive sales so far hopefully it should bring some big name titles out the woodwork!

I'm really happy with my Switch and can't believe I didn't give it enough time and sold my first one, on the flip side I've supported Nintendo twice with buying two consoles, that's what I keep telling myself :rotfl:

Wondering if they might reveal FIFA 18 demo availability as I think all other formats had a demo yesterday (or maybe today)? Not exactly reaching for the stars with that one mind you, but it would be nice to see how it plays. Fallout 4 though would be a big deal.

Absolutely mate. Most game engines can be scaled and worked to run on most platforms, Unreal engine working on mobile devices for example. Its just whether the dev feels its worth their time and effort to do that. The fact that skyrim is coming is huge, like you say it'll be optimised to work on the switch and thats all that matters. Will be interesting to see if its the special edition with the updated graphics or not. Either way all reports say it runs really well which is awesome. The fact that Rockstar are jumping on board, Bethesda, EA etc.. all very encouraging. As you say, the sales of the switch have been very positive and its good to know more third party devs are putting the effort in, just hope their efforts pay off and the games sell well so we get more major third party support down the line.

yeah not sure why the switch has missed out on a demo thus far, would be nice to see how it plays and I think with these games demos are important as that alone will give switch owners a chance to actually experience the game both docked and on the go, once they've bought into that experience, selling the actual game would be easier i'd have thought.

Fallout 4 on switch? Sounds far-fetched to me given how that game ran on consoles. But would be epic if so!

A new Wave Race 64 would've been nice.
Nintendo are yet to apologise for the GameCube atrocity.

Skyrim uses the same game engine though (albeit an updated version on Fallout 4).
Sure the Switch could handle it if optomised well.

Not played any of the Fallouts. That would be huge news.

A demo of Fifa to tide me over until I get Fifa would also be nice.

I am guessing the Smash Bros Switch Deluxe Edition could be announced though.

I seem to have read somewhere (maybe even in here?) that there's a new racing-on-water(???? Am i just forgetting an obvious name for this genre) game due out on XboxOne and switch that will feature cross platform connectivity, much like rocket league will have (and already does have elsewhere). So that might be if interest to you. Will try to find a link.

Edit: it's called Riptide GP Renegade. Not sure when it's due.

I'm the same as you, scouse. Never understood the popularity.
With regards ND, there's a lot about Odyssey apparently.

I can third that motion. I got bored of them pretty quick and didn't really find them fun. To me they seemed really limited and its not what I want from a fighting game. I actually enjoy IK+ multiplayer on the Amiga more :)

Yup me too never got the smash bros appeal yes there's about a gazillion of Nintendos characters in there but apart from a glorified Nintendo sponsored AA meeting I fail to see the pull.

Yet I loved the Gamecube Smash Brothers - me n my two daughters had endless fun on this game and it sometimes ended up in tears lol - I can see the low appeal as a solo game though but local multiplayer, it can't be beat (no pun intended) imo :)

Yeh I get that bit and perhaps my question was a little vague - the Direct can be viewed on Wii U can't it? someone was asking that's all.
