A 10th anniversary release of film in 2003 of a film originally released in 1995?

Maybe the Japanese do their maths differently?

Not a bad review, although I would have given the film an 8 as i'm a big 'Manga' fan! :smashin:

Being a "newb" to anime stuff, I was somewhat surprised that it wasn't better. Not terrible by any means, but even Manga fans can't miss how disjointed and underdeveloped the whole plot is? (and the characters - I thought the female was the most interesting, because of the poison)

the most staggering thing for me was the artwork. Sublime.

Of course the story is a bit cheesy. That's the magic of it, like with 70's HK martial arts movies. :smashin:

Got the R4, which is pretty much the same, found the sound to be average really. Picture is clean and sharp, it also has some interesting extras.

    good review btw
