i was playing on villa and i was stop at the top of the stairs of the villa that has the balcony you can go on.and i could hear someone RUNNING to the stairs to get to the villa.they were quite a way away too.i was at the top of the stairs and i could hear them before i saw them.

so as soon as they got it sight then i shot them.but i could hear them running before i saw them.so ninja pro now works.

you do have to listen carefully and its nowhere near as loud as mw1/2.but it does work.

Good news if its a regular occurance, wish they would make them louder though. Guess I'll have to go deaf by turning up my volume even higher to hear them better :)

yeah i turned up my headphones and i could hear footsteps.im not sure how good they are if they are directly behind you.but i could hear them running from past the fountain and through the wooden door to the steps.i shot them just as they got insode the wooden door.and i did nnot see them run past the fountain on villa,i heard them.

so it does work, not very loud but it does work.

You shouldnt have to turn it up tho. It either works or it doesnt in my eyes (or ears).

At this minute in time most people seem to say it doesn't.

You can hear people now but there is not enough there to be of any practicle use in a game unless you are sitting in a corner of a room waiting for someone.
I like to move around the map and having this is not going to make me aware of anyone around me unless they are literally 3 metres away :(

yes with Ninja Pro, i just spent 3 hours getting it aswell, it mutes your own footsteps just fine but other peoples footsteps are still extremely quite.
I have been testing it out in FFA and by the time you hear anybody that you can't see they will already be too close. You can tell where the gunfire is coming from which is something I guess.
Personally i think using ninja pro gives me a false sense of security, the radius of "sound detection" for footsteps is so small that it is not going to help as opposed to MW2 where you had like a 30 metre radius where you could detect people with your hearing. I think hacker or marathon are more useful for me:)

IMO - Footsteps are a bit louder now and Ive taken advantage of this once or twice per game (I use Sharkoons) but it's still no where near as useful as it was in MW2 where you could hear where in the the next room the enemy was for example, now you just know theyre int he next room, pity :(

or maybe they don't intend to make it like MW2 as they said it was OP?

to be honest, not that i can't use ninja and marathon together, i'm not overly fussed about this perk except for maybe SnD

Does ninja pro mute all your team's footsteps too or just your own?

just youre own.in fact its annoying being able to hear youre teams footsteps, you sometimes get confused with the enemys.(exept the enemies aint nowhere near as loud as youre teams).
