why are sony going to continue to release different things to different 'regions'?? what possible benefit is there by letting the uk miss out on new games / demos on the psn??

I can't be arsed to set up a few accounts to download arguably better stuff :smashin:

I'd be interested to know what you guys think; this was my favourite game on the xbox and my ears pricked up when i heard it was coming out for the PS3.
I dont own a PS3 yet but will probably get one over the coming months.

Its a shame its the same story as the xbox version but if its got a good few twists etc it should be fun, especially the wielding of two weapons

It's on the main feature page. The first one on the left at the top. It's hard to miss.

Well the PSN is no different then the 360 market place in this respect. It's a complicated issue with various factors involved like appropriate content, ratings, licencing etc.

Also Sony are not the developer/publisher of Ninja Gaiden so it may not be up to them anyway. In this case it probably has to do with the fact that Tecmo is publishing it in Japan and Eidos in other regions. Eidos probably has the final say regards outside Japan.

Setting up different user and online accounts is pretty easy anyway and worth doing if you want the best selection of donwloadable content. I've got four on mine now, US, UK, Hong Kong and Japan.

Well i have just finished the demo and i rank 61! Unlocked hard mode and mission mode too were you play as the bird(cannot remember her name) The game looks flaming gorgeous and runs at 60 fps and zero tearing whatsoever and my god some of the lighting and textures are beautiful. This is not a simple port, rather a remastering. As a demo it is fantastic too, rankings, mission mode, hard mode,it even has total play time for stat freaks!

I thought the demo was a level that wasn't going to be in the original game.

Haven't finished it yet as I only had a quick blast, is the end of level boss still the same hard [email protected] as he used to be?

Here is the thing,he is easy as hell....

IF you use the huge sword.

Just press start and you can select ANY weapon  Dual swords, nunchuks, some massive pole and the beasty sword that is slow but mega powerful, especially when you fully charge it.

The dual swords work really well too,but to beat the boss, use the big sword and press triangle, then roll back wards, rinse and repeat until he dies.Cheap but effective if you are having trouble.

The mission mode is hard for me,i can get to the 2 big dragons but they wipe me out fairly sharpish :(

Do you think the rankings will be locked to the region of the demo?

Compared to the original it looks absolutely amazing and the original was one of the best looking Xbox games. Then again the PS3 version should look a lot better. One thing that puzzles me is that the demo plays in 720p. I thought the game is supposed to support up to 1080p.

I seem to recall that in the original if you re-entered a room then the enemies would reappear. In this one they don't which makes it less frustrating. The game is also much easier to control with the PS3 pad then it was with the Xbox pad.

Jeez what a let-down, i know i'm in a minority, but this game bores the pants off me, and i've no idea why, it's a similar style to DMC or God of War but they both beat it hands down, this is dull, with terrible camera angles too, crikey glad they released a demo before i paid cash for this.

Each to his own but it's a far better game then DMC and the camera angles are no worse then DMC. It's also a lot more challenging then DMC.

I just bought DMC 3 as I never played it before and boy its not easy. Where as Ninja Gaiden on my old Xbox was just a walk in the park.

But Ninja Gaiden was a great game on the Xbox but there was a few later levels that was a bit of a chore to play.

Yep DMC was rock-hard, DMC1 was pretty easy perhaps Moogle only played that one, but DMC3, certainly was anything but easy!! ALthough, the new CE edition of DMC was supposed to be easier?

Anyway, as Moogle said, to each his own, i dont know why Gaiden doesnt do it for me, on paper it ticks the boxes, but dunno, in reality it just doesnt have the flambouancy that DMC + GOW had, coupled with the pretty bad camera and way the whole game seems to be on speed put me off.

I have just discovered that the USA demo has head decapitation and the JAP one doesn't so get the USA one! To de-head someone jump towards them and press triangle.

    Just a "heads up" :D

Well there used to be a semi-auto camera in the xbox version, but they have decided to leave the camera to the player this time.I personally prefer having full control. The dualshock sticks are so close together it feels second nature to change the camera to me.
