I saw this company offering cut prices on the new Nikons for those who want to pre-order.

    Nikon D300
    Nikon D3

Anyone on here used this company. Are they reputable?

That is £200 less than the rrp. Wonder if they are grey imports and not uk stock ? I have a pre-order for a D300 at Warehouse express but they only price match certain companies so there is not much point in asking them to match this one.

I am attending a Nikon meeting next month, hopefully get the D3 and D300 in my hands. The UK store prices are £1399.99 for the d300 and £3500 for the D3 at the moment.

Steve - I think RGB-Tech have been around a while in AV sales & a couple of years ago I bought a Sony LCD panel from them as they were the best price - I haven't had any issues with the panel to test what their after sales is like but it might be worth searching here in the AV type Forums to see what sort of reputation they have (?)

I bought my 40D from them a couple of weeks ago. On this occasion, I bought mail order but I've visited their shop in Middlesbrough. Quite reputable, professional and helpful. I think they say somewhere on their website that they don't grey import.

    Thanks Paul and Colin.

I haven't worked out how to use my D80 yet but I can feel the D300 calling to me

Going by the 40D you may be better just holding off and keeping an eye on camerapricebuster.co.uk

Warehouse express and a few other retailers initially listed the 40D on their site with a RRP of £899 for the body only. Since launch their price have fallen steadily

It has been widely available in the UK for just over 2-3 weeks now and you can buy UK stock for £750

I spoke to RGB today and they sell uk stock and not grey imports. They are selling the D300 below the rrp that Nikon have set while the rest of the uk dealers seem to be happy to sell at the rrp. I had a D300 on pre-order at warehouse express but they would not match RGB because they are not on the list that they will compete with. Therefore I cancelled my order with warehouse express and got myself on the list at RGB.

I'm pretty sure the new Nikon bodies should start coming with 2 year warranties - EU rules or something.
