Has anyone seen Night Moves (the Gene Hackman one). I watched it last night and was a little let down by the ending. I feel that I have missed something huge in the story as reviews I have read since say that revelations in the final scenes are shocking and completely turn the film on its head.

Can someone enlighten me? I will have to watch it again to see what I missed, but can't put my finger on what happened in the final scenes (and what they mean to the overall story!).

Answers to these questionswill obviouslyt involve spoliers so headsup to anyone reading this who hasn't seen the film yet :D

Is that the one that ends "all at sea"?

The whole point of the ending is that it's ambiguous... and downbeat. There's no tidy resolution.

That, mein freund, is exactly what's so great about it.

I got the inkling towards the end that it was going a bit "Chinatown" alright.

    SPOILER
So basically the end is that everyone was killing each other for the treasure??? Even Gene Hackman's stuntman friend? (ie. someone he thought he could trust tried to kill him for it).

I need to watch it again!!!

Most pointedly, the boat Hackman's stuck in, going around and around in circles as we leave him, is called Point of View.
