Night Mode/IR

    I would like to know if there are any other camera's out there that can shoot in complete darkness apart from the Sony's.

    The Panasonic GS range claim to, but apparently do it by using the LCD screen as some kind of video light. I haven't seen this in action myself, but it sounds a bit naff. I have used Sony Nightshot successfully virtually since it came out, but you really need the additional IR illuminator with it, otherwise the range is pathetic. I have posted a thread requesting information on the new Nightshot Plus, which claims to allow colour filming in the dark, but am still awaiting replies.
