I buy basics white sheets then tar them over, works a treat. But that's me, I also drink my midori in a dirty half pint glass.

I don't know if it's classed as nice, but Ikea sell plain black sheets, fitted or plain, duvet covers, and pillow cases in their DVALA range. I did see some in Tesco but they're 50% polyester so I stuck with Ikea's since it's at least 100% cotton.

I wouldn't buy black sheets. Shows up any stains real easy.

This reminds me of staying over at a friends house many many years ago. His parents were away, so he said I could stay in their bed. Crawled up at 2am in the morning and climbed in, a little worse for wear.

When I woke up in the morning, I noticed the black bed linen, thought it was a bit weird. Then I noticed what I'd been sleeping in.:eek::eek:

Judging by the dried up patches in various locations around the king size bed (including on the pillows), they'd started their holiday at least week before they left.

of course it'd be much better if you simply couldn't see what was there instead!

Maybe the OP wants black linen to make them wash it more often :)

Well - out of sight, out of mind.

I use a low wave length UV light at work sometimes - I took it home once to try and find the source of the cat smell on the stairs in the house we'd just bought. The stairs looked like a murder scene. I don't recommend walking around the house with one on - it'll turn you OCD in a flash.
