    Nice looking case,

The price will be the killer though, with shipping, Viciously Added Tax (VAT) and Customs Duty, the price soon adds up.

I have mailed for a price.

    Does look very nice.

Someone here in England should manufacture something similar.

    Yep - looks good
I like the fact that it's not too small.
There's enough room for everything to breathe!

Let us know if you get a price.

    Cheers for the heads-up

Eh, yeah - I call that nice.

I dont read kanji, so can you tell me if the case you pointed out comes in black ?

BTW, intro price is $199 and they will ship worldwide, althought I don't know how much shipping will cost.

I'd say a sheet metal fabrication company. They should work in most things such as aluminum, stainless, titainium if you want to be flash (and light!)

I doubt they'd be that cheap, cost of materials, plus man hours etc. If you went to one of the automated places there'd be a minimum number so you'd need to be sure of selling them on. It's not worth setting up machines to do the manufaturing for just a handfull.

See how you go, ring round and get some prices. There might even be companies whp already make custom PC cases.

There's a lot of server cases that are stainless and aluminium.

Actually I have a friend who has made a few alu brackets for my motorbike and has a fair number of machines.

Any idea how hard it would be to design a case (espacially the inside for PSU, MB, cards etc.) ?

How much would you pay for one ?

No idea of cost. You could find a similar sized desktop case and take the layout from that I suppose.

Price wise it might be worth setting up a thread with a vote for various price bands. Get a rough idea of who would pay what!

Just thought I'd throw my two penneth in.....

I, like loads of others are looking for a black htpc case, in the uk.

I've just about given up on it, theres no uk suppliers I can find, and it costs a lot of money to import a case.

So I've decided to buy a desktop PC Case, the Suntek Viper Desktop,
    http://www.suntek.co.uk/en/viper/overview.html

and either paint the cover and front, or make a replacement cover & front, from aluminium sheeting. Shouldn't be too difficult, although there's always the possibility it'll look crap.

I just wondered if we could identify a base desktop case, and then get someone to sort out a new cover for it, it would help keep the cost down.

Personally I wouldn't want to spend more than £150 on the perfect case.

Got an email back from the guy in the States. Case is $199 and he reckons shipping should be $45 - $244 = £173 delivered !

Am I supposed to pay import suty or something on this ? - can he label it "product sample" or such ? ;-)
