Since setting up dual-monitors is something of a black art it's not uncommon for users new to this area to ask for help when it doesn't work as one would expect.

I just came across this introductory article on Extremetech which may help to introduce way 2 monitors can be configured and used, albeit it's not an in-depth treatise. :)

That's given me a few ideas how to use a couple of 19" CRTs I have. I can't believe I'd not thought about using dual monitors before now.

:) .. I've tried it with ATI cards and had limited success, I've read nVidia's software makes it a bit easier, I'm about to find out if that's true. :)

I'd be interested to know how you get on with it as I will be using nVidia software to do this.

It'll be a couple of weeks or so until I get the two displays in question, a projector and an LCD TV.

As is ATI and Matrox. I have to admit to being bemused that anyone needs an article to use this stuff - I've always found that you just plug in your monitors and away you go .... in the worst case you have to enable the monitor in the control panel.
