Incompetence of the NHS? Or incompetence of someone who works for the NHS?

Anyway, as for how it happened; I suspect, and this is just a theory, that someone forget to take it out.

Yes your right, the whole organisation is incompetent because of the actions of a couple of individuals.

In other news all members of Microsoft are gay, because i met someone who was gay and worked for them

Or someone who works for a contractor who works for the NHS.

was it not of late people being left to die in hospital corridors as well as other scandals. possibly lack of training from the NHS could be the cause

Yes. People need to be trained to not forget stuff. Perhaps a Diploma in not forgetting stuff. People also need a degree in 'not being evil'. People are clearly nasty and stupid and it can not be anything to do with poor management and lack of resources.

Come on now.

In more breaking news the NHS successfully delivered my daughter, over 2 years ago. Successfully treated and looked after my dad and his tropical illness and are currently looking after 3 of my relatives, who have cancer. NHS are suddenly competent again.

procedures surely should be in place, documentation for the transportation of the body. its not like forgetting your bag in the boot of the car is it?

I love the NHS, recently they fixed my broken leg, great service from beginning to end, and I am back to full fitness (broke end of Dec/fully fit end of March).

I have lost count myself, wife, boys, family etc have all used this great institution and service.

Looks like this thread didnt go as the OP had hoped. Yes its a bad mistake but mistakes happen. They dont tend to create headlines for the staff like my wife who work late and claim nothing to ensure people with serious illness and injuries get the treatment they need. They dont tend to do headlines like "NHS operated on me on time and im here 15 years after my cancer operation was a success"

cant point out anything without a backlash on here. Ye individuals will be at fault, the NHS are responsible for these people.
Pretty much like if one of you had a bad experience with a company. Do you slate the company name? yes you do you don't mention the individuals name that you dealt with that may have not provided the services you required do you.
I was only pointing out this story then all the polly pissy pants got involved

That is completely different. If you talk to a company and say 'I find xyz not acceptable' and they say 'well our company policy states that that's how it works' then your grievance is with the company.

However, if the company policy is xyz but an employee gets it wrong and does something else, then your grievance is mostly with the employee, and to a lesser degree with the company for allowing mistakes to happen.

To avoid this, I suggest we nominate kevykat to be in charge of everything to ensure nothing goes wrong with anything, ever.

Good plan - he has never made a mistake AFAIK. There was some debt-dodging thing, but we are reliably informed that was someone else's fault :p

Its all AVForums fault that no is agreeing with him :)

Agreeing? I pointed out a story and thought it was pretty shocking. Did I ask someone to agree with it? How do you agree with a factual story? Instead everyone decided to talk about a bloody title.

By putting the title of Incompetence of the NHS you are asking for support of your opinion that the NHS are incompetent. That hasn't happened, so your opinion has not been agreed upon.

EDIT:But this is just distractionary. Like calling people, who dont agree with your opinion, names. I believe the NHS do a good job and, like any organisation that employs human beings, they make mistakes.
