Finally looking to sell on my Nexus 7 tablet which has served me incredibly well over the years.

It is the 2012 version with 16GB, and it's running Lineage OS 14.1. It's running very smoothly and I've never had any issue with it in daily use.

It also comes along with the official Asus dock which provides cable-free charging which is incredibly useful for a tablet if you're picking it up and setting it down throughout the day which I have. This particular accessory is great and has made the tablet a far more useful device as it doesn't need plugging in with a cable

I used this primarily for Sonos control for the family in general when they didn't have a phone in their hands and for guests (when we used to be allowed to have them) It had also been running software for my Nest heating, security cameras, family email, and a handful of other apps that had a lot of use throughout the day.

As you can see from the screenshots, the battery holds a charge well for the times it is out of the dock for prolonged use. I've also uploaded a short video to youtube which you can find here which shows how responsive it still is

I'm pretty sure I have the boxes somewhere in the loft so will have a good look for them but if I cant find them, everything will be well boxed for shipping.

This will come with the original power supply and power cable

It’s in great conditions with zero marks to the screen or casing. In fact the only Mark I can see if where the cable has been plugged into the dock

Looking for £50 for both shipped.

any questions please ask

Hi Jouster,

I have been after a 2nd one of these for a while - They make perfect HA controllers.
What is LineageOS?
Does it mean it has been jailbroken? Does it affect access to the Play store and the apps that it can used with?
Could it be restored to stock?

Thanks

I wouldn’t really call it a jailbreak as it doesn’t allow anything other than normal use of the tablet. You’d be hard to tell it was any different if I didn’t say so but most would just consider it an unofficial OS upgrade

It’s just a newer version is the original OS which makes it more responsive (check the video to see just how smooth it is). It’s not stock obviously but was well worth the upgrade in my opinion. Look at the pictures to a colour for number nine colour or colour all the pictures right occasionally the colour pencil those two colours

it accesses the play store just fine and I’ve never had an app it couldn’t get. It can be restored to stock I’m sure but not sure why you’d want to as it would be a bit slower and not have all the new security that comes with newer OS’s.

any particular apps you want to use so I can test them for you. (Can’t imagine they won’t work)

If it helps at all, I have done the same thing with my Nexus 2012 and can confirm that it operates exactly the same as if it was stock (strictly it's faster/smoother) and doesn't affect any access to playstore or apps.

Any chance you could check if the Sky Go and Virgin TV Go apps work on this ?

Unfortunately not sure you can access them to see if they stream without login details

Subject to confirmation, happy to take this for £50 delivered

It will definitely work with SkyGo as I use mine to watch it. Can't speak for Virgin.

HI just installing both apps now assuming the Virgin one is Virgin TV Go

As long as happy I will of course fully wipe the tablet before sending

both take me to a sign-in page and run as id expect them too but I can't test further
if you’re happy with this I’m happy to agree to £50 shipped for both and can get posted tomorrow or Thursday

if that’s agreed let me know and we can go to PM to confirm payment and shipping details

Received today, spotless condition

Unfortunately I cannot get the two apps I was interested in to work as they complain the tablet is rooted. Hopefully Dan can shed some light on how he got them to work

@Dan Turner can you help ?
