    Hi all,

I'm looking for a black, mint, 32gb Nexus 5. If possible, I'd also like a receipt and be able to transfer the warranty to me. Looking to pay somewhere in the region of £300. Looking as I'm wanting to sell my iPhone 4S and get this instead, so if anyone is interested in a swap + cash my end I'll happily post some pics.

    Thanks!

    Price and currency: Around £300
    Location: Guildford, Surrey

Thanks a lot, had a look but I'm afraid I'm set on the black version. Thanks anyway though.

No worries, just out of interest what is it about the black one that drives more interest? Especially when considering it's pretty much half white and black.?

Apparently there's actually a difference between the texture of the back on the black and white models. The black has a sort of slightly grippy matte finish which I, and from looking around a lot of other people, prefer. The white has a more plastic-ey and from what I've heard, cheaper feel about it. The black picks up oil stains more easily but the white scratches more easily. Also I just think the black looks nicer. I've only held the black model though so it's the only one I can vouch for myself.

Oh OK, I always keep mine in a case as it's safer in the event of a drop, thanks.

I have a mint (no scratches or faults and looks brand new) Nexus 5 in black bought directly from Google a month ago. I've been using it for the last month and love the phone but have been thinking about switching back to my iPhone 5 simply because I need iMessage and FaceTime and carrying around my iPad isn't practical.
I would be willing to sell it for £310 including delivery which is a good £40 saving over the cost of the phone and it's delivery from Google. I've included a quick picture.

Hi GW, thanks for your reply. I'm afraid I'm in the middle of negotiating buying one from a buyer somewhere else at the moment, though. It it falls through, I'll come back to you if you haven't sold it yet, if not, good luck!

Unfortunately the other one I was buying seems to have fallen through, and I know GreasyWeasel's has sold, so bump.

Might be looking to move mine on.

Bought in Nov comes with receipt , box and unused accessories.

No marks that I can see.

Just need to reflash to stock as its running a custom rom and elemental x kernal from xda - improves the battery beyond belief!

Thanks for your response. I may well be interested - could you explain what you mean by reflash to stock? Just reset it to how it was? I wouldn't know how to do that - would there be any disadvantages from doing that? Sorry if that all seems obvious!

Also, I know that some of the older models have problems with the GPS not finding where you are quickly orsometimes at all - have you had any problems with that?

And where did you buy from/what's the deal with warranty?

    Thanks!

Reflash to stock just means resetting to factory settings. However the custom ROM on it extends the battery considerably.

It is from Google play store and has around 9 months warranty remaining.

I would reset it before sending unless you want me to leave as is and just wipe my account and settings from the phone.

Don't Google and LG give you a 2 year warranty? The only problem is that I've heard the the warranty is non transferrable. I think if it's unopened you can get away with transferring as a gift but not sure about if it's been used for a time? Also, doesn't rooting void the warranty?

It can be unrooted and relocked.

Unregistered? When I called Google a little while ago they said that the handset is registered to whichever Google account was used when ordering the device from Google Play, as you have to be logged in to order.

    I didn't know that.

If that's the case you will need a brand new one.

But I'm sure the warranty is locked to the device and not the account.

Anyways. I have a pristine device here to sell however I will make my own thread for it.

I guess those who understand these devices and what can be done with them ie XDA etc would be more suited to it.

I'm very confident in it and have great feedback so I know it will go.

    Thanks for the interest.

Ok, then, thanks anyway. I agree, I'm sure it'll sell easily, but it just doesn't quite meet what I'm looking for with warranty etc.

I think I'm going to close this thread and just order one from Google. Thanks for both offers.
