    I've just looked on Gameplay's calendar and it looks like I'm going to have to find well over £100 :eek: I know I'm definetly getting;

    Saints Row
    Dead Rising
    Lego Star Wars II

Then it's just a question of whether or not to get Just Cause and Tony Hawks 8, which could make me hit the £200 mark!! Thank goodness Splinter Cell has been delayed!!

And none of that includes the points I'm going to have to spend on XBLA!!

    Bugger

if you are going to buy everygame thats going to be released and manage to finish them all in 1 month then this shows you have a problem mate.

The cure for your problem, GET OFF YOUR @SS AND GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE. DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR LIFE BEFORE YOU GET TOO OLD WHILE ONLY PLAYING GAMES. ;)

no seriously, i managed to finish prey in abit more than 1 week because i cant stay alot of time in front of the tv, i need to go out, spend some quality time with family and friends. while there are people who finished it in 1 DAY.

Soon you'll bang your head in to the wall, realising you have 1000 games, each game costs 39.99, which means you spent 39,990 quids on games in 2-3 years time maybe and wasted all that time playing, losing friends and closest people to you. OH and gaining weight like a cow.

fair play mate, good post and one that should be read!

Im married, have a 14month daughter and a mortage and work full time in Sales & Marketing, dont drink (not too excess anyway), dont smoke and the only vice I have is games, I earn good money and have a company car so having a spare few quid on games isnt a problem. But your right dont let games take over your life theres a whole world out there to see!

September's not gonna be too bad for me...

    Dead Rising
Saints Row (£24 after using my GAME points)
Lego Star Wars (£33 as ordered during the HMV promotion)
Just Cause (£29.99 on GAME at the moment)

I'm not buying Test Drive now, so that's saved me some money.

It's gonna be worse when the Wii launches - £150/180 for the console then a couple of games at £40ish each.

Then it's time for Christmas shopping :suicide:

Sept is a great month not just for 360 gamers, but also PC gamers. I have had to delay some of the Sept games till next year, because of other stuff to pay for.

But there are only 6, which have caught my eye in Sep. However I am getting these games in September:

    Dead Rising
    TDU

And I cannot decide if I should buy either of the Rainbow Six: LV or Saints Row, or just wait for Splinter Cell: DA in Oct. However these are the games, which have caught my eye for Oct 06:

Brothers in Arms 3: Hell's Highway - I reckon the multiplayer mode may get a bit boring, with just 1 player on each team, with bots to command.

Pro Evolution Soccer 6 - I May just wait till next year for this game.

These are the games in Nov, which I am looking forward too:

Alone in the Dark - Cannot decide if I should get this. But I may just rent it out, the same has to be said about GRAW.

Call Of Duty 3 - I may wait till next year for this game.

FIFA 07 - I've asked my Mum to give this to me, as an early Christmas present.

    Forza Motorsport 2 - Already on pre-order.

Do you know what would be nice?. To walk into a game shop and find a game that I haven't had or played or don't wan't for the 360. I cant wait till november time when I can do just that. This is when people will realize just what this console is capable of. There will be just to much to chose from.

The wii looks set to have a very good release price though. Rumour has it set at £130-£150.

I've just looked, and it looks like I will stick to my original plan and only get 2 games in Sept and 1 in Nov. While waiting till after Nov for either of these 3:

    Rainbow Six: LV
    Splinter Cell: SA
    Saints Row

But hopefully Blockbusters will have any of these 3 games in to rent, once they out. However I may even sell my PS2 next month, and even buy any of those 3 if I take some risks money wise, before planning ahead for Christmas lol.

Yeah, my PS2 is being sold soon too, i barely used it. Got far more pleasure in a few days off the excellent demos from the marketplace.

I plan to purchase Superman, Pro Evo 6 and Lego Star Wars, and depending on reviews either Gears of War or Dead Rising. The rest aren't major interest. Don't have as much time as I used to have anyways, what with work, new car etc.

It will be a sad day when I sell my PS2, because I have had it since 2000, and it has not broken down once. But I do trust Sony, to get the GT4 Photomode option for uploading shots to a USB device like a PSP, fully working on the PS3.

Plus if I sell it soon at Cox, I may still get £33, even in either of these dates:

    Sept
    Late Sept
    Or early Oct

But I may decide to take the mid September option, even if I don't get my PS3 right away. However, I have a good feeling I get a PS3 right away, even if it means not buying a PS3 launch title until either of these dates:

    Late Nov
    Late Dec
    Late Jan.

Anyway to my list, if I do decide to buy a 360 game in Nov, I am most likely going to pick:

    Rainbow Six: LV

But I may even buy the 360 web cam instead of a game.

Having watched the trailers Saints row looks awful. A very poor mans GTA at best, and Dead Rising to me looks like it'll get tedious and boring very quickly.:thumbsdow

As for Lego Star Wars..hardly what i had in mind for the next gen.

TDU the handling needs to be sorted out big time. I think the demo actually put more people off the game because of it, rather than temp those that were unsure. If they do sort it, it has potential to be good, but i don't think they'll have the time to achieve it. :suicide:

    Games i'm waiting for:

    PES 6
    Rainbow six Vegas
    Gears of War
    Splinter Cell
    Forza
    FEAR

Obviously the bottom 5 on my list are all subject to me being able to prise Pro Evo out of my 360 to allow me to play them...;)

Don't dish Dead Rising until you have played the demo, but I have a feeling Dead Rising will prove you wrong. Remember Dead Rising is not all about killing zombies, you have to defeat human bosses and some zombie bosses.

While having to do different type's of missons.

Fair comment, and i hope i am wrong. I've read a few articles about he game in various mags and they all talk it up, so from that i was quite optimistic. It's just having seen 2 movies now it just seemed very lacking in variety. Simply hitting zombie after zombie, only with different items as weapons. I can't see it lasting the test of time, no matter how much of a laugh it is short term.

Hope i'm wrong though, and it turns out to be great...:smashin:

I was nearly tempted to delay Forza 2 for at least a couple of weeks, so I could buy Stalker on the PC. But I think I can wait till Christmas for Stalker, anyway I have a feeling there may be some more great games out in December?

I've got a PSP but again, barely used it, it too is going on the ebay very soon. I'm gonna get a PS3 when the price drops by a hundred quid or so and they've ironed out any inevitable launch problems. Plenty to keep me going in the mean time
