NEWS: TCL previews 2022 Mini LED TV lineup

I mean discussions on flatpanelshd.
Much better is display specifications, where is stated SoC:

Even X11 use same SoC ,as C12 from last year.
I already posted in post #57.
No new hardware platform for 2022 models.

Edit:
need to read "roxada" user post there....not just posting here pure speculations.

FlatpanelsHD got firsthand information about TCL 2022 TVs way before anyone else. They also were one of the first to say when the launch date/official announcements were going to happen. They have insider info. I'd trust them with this. Plus the fact the TV has 144hz panel, 3 2.1 HDMI ports and what StopTheFOMO said makes me thing it does have a new SoC

Is not FlatpanelsHD itself, but people comment there.

Check my screenshot again. It's FlatpanelsHD itself who responded. Rasmus works for them and he's the one who first reported about TCL 2022 TVs.

According to YouTube the C835 also has MT9615 which is the same one the C825 had which had the half resolution blurriness issue at 120hz but how did they get the panel up to 144hz if it struggles with 120hz and why bother overclocking it?

We will see when somebody really test.
Last year C825 and C728 SoC MT9615 aka mt5889 is capable to run 1.6 GHz clock, but has been set at only 1.37 GHz.
I don't know which forum you follow about C825, but R646 with same SoC, I read not much problems now.

C835 pre-installed firmware....

If TCL is re-using the same SoCs then they have gotta be doing something about the performances. Wonder if they're using a co-processor like Sony with their to reduce the load on the main SoC.

7 months ago.....wtf ?
Go to avs forum , about R646, same SoC.....
If it's a hardware issue then it's not going going anywhere even after a year. Sort by new and see their 2nd to latest response which is 2 months ago.

New 2022 model 55C635 .... R51MT05 platform ,
spotted with factory firmware V8-R51MT05-LF1V437.020554 ......Feb 22 2022...pre-installed (Spain).

P725 and C725 this year production is also shipping with same platform (previous R51MT02...ATV11).

According to the TCL global specs sheets of the C935 and C835, it says MT9615+ whereas it just says MT9615 for the C825. Wonder if the + indicates a modified version or whether the + indicates the existence of another co processor?

Looks good any opinions on the reflective screen? Could be a bright room, but still found it distracting

As I know , QD-Mini LED is not coming this year.
Are we talking here about China or Europe models?

Tcl m1 chip in the x11
What ?
M1 is Apple chip.
Lingyao chip M1。
With one promotional video of the X11(C935) ,we found the main board of x11 have a big cooling fin with two chip。
tcl china use this new main board update the 2022 new TV。C12E(C835)/X11(C935)。I think this new image quality chip also will use in EU with MT9615

X11(65/75/85) and X9CPRO(98) now are selling in china form March。 I‘m the first batch of users of 75x11. it is great TV. 1920 zone is very differnt with other TV i use before. C10(EU), X10(EU), C12(CN). The new LED drive chip make local dimming work very fast. In most time , it look like my xiaomi master 77 oled , but have higher peak brightness。

I have a few questions:
  • Does VRR or game mode disable local dimming?
  • How's the blooming?
  • Is there an issue with displaying 4k/120hz or 144hz like the C825? I.e halved resolution and blurriness.
  • Can it display 4:4:4 chroma properly?
