So to be clear are Sonos saying that for my old Play 5.

I can use their website to replace it with a new model with 30% discount,
Keep my original Play 5
The original Play 5 will now keep working forever
The original Play 5 will no longer get updates
The original Play 5 and the new Play 5 and all my other Sonos bits will carry on working as a single group of devices?

I believe yes to those , apart from maybe not forever!
Also the last one, the old play 5 will not work on the network when a future update happens. Not sure when this will happen though.
(I may be wrong!)

Does that only apply to a Play 5 (or whatever) that you’ve “upgraded” or is all our older Sonos equipment going to get shut out of our networks?

A company that was once very high in my estimation is now not very well thought of...

My only surprise is that it took them so long to flip flop on it.
