I agree I really enjoyed it.

I would have preferred the last episode to go a different way as I think killing off Shaun was a mistake. That said it should make the second season interesting. I would have thought the return to the top scenario to take over his fathers former position was more flexible but I guess that was just too obvious. I guess though the purpose was to emphasise just how powerful and influential these people are.

An enjoyable season although the ending went a bit wayward. Episode 5 farmhouse attack (that guy who was right next to grenade exploding :zonked: ) was the standout.

Yes the siege episode was one of the best episodes of television I've seen. The series peaked with that and declined pretty quickly in my opinion.

I recorded that moment on my phone and sent it to my son who binged it the next weekend. We both enjoyed it. Though I felt it was a bit schizophrenic in so far as it was East Enders half the time and Kill Bill's (or maybe Olympus Has Fallen's) fight scenes the rest.

if Eastenders was a bit more like that then I might watch it.

At times Gangs of London was like watching Jason Bourne on steroids, the choreographed fight scenes are obviously designed to be the main visual attraction for action fans and they are well done.
Having said that, I must confess that these violent sociopath drug cartel movies and shows are losing their appeal for me as have the countless Zombie movies released in recent times.

SPOILER="Spolier"] Not sure if just me but I dont think Shaun was killed off, only watched the scene once and not googled or anything. Im sure he was shot in the cheek and usually if films/tv want to show someone dead its in the forehead. I maybe totally off but that was my initial thought when it ended. Also makes sense as the bloke who shot him wouldnt want to kill him[/SPOILER]
