No mention that these are the first sets truly made by Sharp back in Japanese ownership (via Taiwan's Foxconn)?

Sharp was Japan's first ever TV maker and the LCD TV pioneer.

Hope they continue to innovate.

Hope they continue to innovate.
They acquired the company which they'd licenced the Sharp name to in Europe, UMC, so unless they've farmed out the name again then it will be made under the Sharp umbrella - although possibly by the same engineers who've been designing the sharp branded TVs for a while.
