      Prices :(

I'm assuming you get a bare-bones type personalised platform and you'd need to add your own games from the likes of Steam, U-Play etc?

Competing with LiquidSky which I've tried and it was ok but always had issues using it on Android devices using their app.

Onlive was the last one I tried for this kind of thing, it wasn't great. Hoping for a much improvement if its to stand a chance at those prices too.

I play Fifa 18 on my surface pro 4 and it runs great [emoji106]

It’s £40 for a 1 month trial or you can sign up for 12 months for £26 a month

You get your own computer with a 1080 graphics card which is great when traveling

I just wonder if anyone only games anymore. I appreciate tablets and phones can do Netflix and browsing but with no pc to do work, game or rip and would feel weird.

Plus most gamers would want a pc to use the service on in the first place - large screen, keyboard and mouse or controller.

So if you have laid out for the shell of a pc as such to stream through, why not just buy the pc you want in the first place?

I can see the appeal - £280 a year vs maybe £1400 for an equivalent experience. Most people nowadays already have a tablet/phone for internet stuff.
It all depends on what games are on the service, and what the latency is like. There have been a few cloud pc gaming services, and they have all failed for one reason or another. Will this go the same way?

      Latency is the key here!

I got to say I was hesitantly first but it’s great to have a fully mobile gaming pc and I have had no problems with lagging

Given my PC is slowly getting to the point of needing an upgrade, I'm interested to see how services like these play out as a nice alternative and being able to use a tablet or phone is a big plus considering the only way to currently do it is using moonlight and needing a PC. I also like that its a set fee for unlimited use, unlike Nvidias offering, which is good but I dont like the fact its going to be capped.

Have to agree that latency and image quality is really important as Onlive looked shocking but Geforce Now and the Playstation services work very well.

Sounds great but think i'd still rather have my own PC. And for something like this to be really big it needs to have more of a netflix pricing or you may aswell just buy a PC or upgrade.

i have to admit this tempts me. I am getting to the point of wanting to drop 5-600 quid on a new Vega or 1080 (or go nuts and get a 1080ti). however i am reluctant if the new nvidia cards are coming shortly and prices for the current gen are too high.

I am also a big fan of streaming around my house. i sometimes sit on the sofa and stream from my desktop to my ultrabook or I sit in my office and remote into my Ps4. And i travel a lot and being able to game in a hotel on my ultrabook would be awesome.

my 290x is getting old and i have to ramp down settings on my 3440x1440 Ultra wide

That's the rub though.. to replace my desktop which is where i do my 'premium' gaming is the latency good enough to be able to shift that many pixels and still look and feel good? i know i'll never have zero latency but i still find it hard to imagine that it will be great. Also when i go to a hotel, the connectivity is ok enough to stream netflix but not stellar then does that put an end to my other use case?

to be honest - i might give the monthly a try the next time i am on the road (shame as i just got back from my current trip) ... however interested if others have experience or thoughts.
