NEWS: Samsung QLED TVs awarded screen safety certification

And yet Samsung still has 120 Hz PWM flickering in every single mode except movie without motion processing...

They did't test for flicker though:
"Assessments by both institutions took place using Samsung’s 65Q900T 8K and 65Q90T 4K models since these are the TVs that emit the brightest light in the company's 2020 lineup. The tests covered the amount of blue light, ultraviolet rays and infrared rays emitted and any associated risks posed to viewers. " Some only flicker in the 960hz range too:

Curious why eye care watching TV's was never considered a health issue years ago.
In my case, I have sensitive eyes due to working outdoors a lot in intense sunlight, so I can attest that the bright LCD screens do effect the eyes during extended periods watching UHD content, less damaged eyes probably wouldn't notice it, for now.
