A 4k MicroLed tv would have roughly 8.3 million individual led's. In theory they could be as efficient as a OLED tv or even more efficient. But the holy grail a 4000 nits brightness MicroLed would be higher power consumption.Surely micro-led technology should in theory be one of the most efficient methods for converting electrical energy into red, blue and green light. More efficient than back-lit LCDs and more efficient than WOLED.
Depends if the Chinese companies like Hisense, TCL decide to bring a MicroLed tv to the consumer market at a reasonable price. If they do then the likes of Sony, Samsung, LG, Panasonic will have to react with their own versions.Yeah but 25k to 5k is different from 150k to ?
Even in 5 years it's not dropping to consumer level pricing if it's starting that high.
Yeah, even with 100% efficiency, all those photons are gonna cost!A 4k MicroLed tv would have roughly 8.3 million individual led's. In theory they could be as efficient as a OLED tv or even more efficient. But the holy grail a 4000 nits brightness MicroLed would be higher power consumption.
