NEWS: Rotel to introduce A11 Stereo Integrated Amplifier and CD11 CD Player at ISE 2019

All that space in a full size case and they still couldn’t fit the CD mech fully inside and made it stick out the bottom of the chassis, I have to wonder sometimes who designs these things.

However the front looks nice and clean.

A lack of any digital inputs is surprising these days, I'd find a couple of optical ports way more useful than Bluetooth

The Rotel A12 (60w/ch) is £699, true that is £100 more than the A11, but it has more power, and it has a DAC with Digital Inputs. Certainly a DAC with 2xOptical, 2xCoaxial, and 1xUSB-PC is worth the extra £100.

And you you really want Bluetooth, that can be added to any amp for less than £50 -

And if you want APT-X-HD then -

In the modern world, a DAC is more important for most people than Bluetooth. Though I can see some people buying a system like the Rotel A11. University students for example.

And just like Bluetooth can be added to a system with a DAC, a DAC can be easily added to a system that has Bluetooth.

I think in the age of Smart Phone, Bluetooth does have some utility. Not that I need it, but certainly for some people it is a very convenient option

Whatever ....

So new Michi at the top end and this A11 range at the bottom. Does that mean something new in the middle soon? The 15 series has been out a long time now with no updates. Perhaps a replacement for the 1572 and 1592 integrated amplifiers?
