Seems to be an inherent problem with Panasonic's own chips.I hope JZ980 this time is capable of doing 5:5 pulldown instead of 3:2 like HZ980...
The JZ1500 will be cheaper than the Sony, which would be priced similar to the JZ2000.Can’t wait for review and comparisons with the Sony A90j and the JZ1500. Any news on when we will get pricing info?

Well Disney and Apple apps are a joke to me so I'm not bothered. No built in apps for Disney Plus and Apple TV. Forcing owners to purchase additional devices to connect to their 2021 sets, to access these popular streaming apps. Which is a joke now days.
I love Panasonic (still own a ZT60 Plasma) but don't understand why you'd have a tech demo for features that are coming in a later firmware update.
Maybe they don't sell enough to justify it?Woah.... Woah... Woah... Are we all just skipping over the fact that the 1500 uses the same screen as the 2000?? Does this mean that we're looking at exactly the same picture between the top two sets?!
And since the JZ1500 also comes in 48", the logical conclusion would then be that this marks the first time the custom panel is available in that size class.Woah.... Woah... Woah... Unfortunately the 48” won’t have the heat sinkAnd since the JZ1500 also comes in 48", the logical conclusion would then be that this marks the first time the custom panel is available in that size class.![]()
Yeah, I read that after writing the post. Shame, but not too shocking I guess, since they would've probably offered the JZ2000 in 48" as well if that was the case.Unfortunately the 48” won’t have the heat sink![]()
Only the 55” & 65” JZ1500 will have the custom panel not the 48” JZ1500 as stated in Panasonic website: 4K OLED TVs | Ultra HD Pro HDR Televisions - Panasonic UK & IrelandAnd since the JZ1500 also comes in 48", the logical conclusion would then be that this marks the first time the custom panel is available in that size class.![]()
Yep can clearly see from the description pages the Panasonic JZ1500 in 48inch uses the older 2020 panel plus no heatsink.Only the 55” & 65” JZ1500 will have the custom panel not the 48” JZ1500 as stated in Panasonic website: 4K OLED TVs | Ultra HD Pro HDR Televisions - Panasonic UK & Ireland
?No bigger than 65", not interested. I was looking forward to their announcement but it looks like the 83A90J is still at the top of the list for me.
