Has anybody got any news on any 56" and bigger dlp's that are due to be launched? unfortunately the sagem has that silver base/stand and would not fit my requirements. Thanks in advance to anybody with any info.

Can you change the record kmht. I think we all can see you don't like Sagem TVs but there is no point acting like a spoilt teenager about it. Get a life you sad person.

I think we should just make your dislike of Sagem a sticky, so you don't have to post it in every thread.

I'm VERY happy with my Sagem, been working just fine, and no issues :)

Redjay, as far as I know, only the Optoma comes larger than 56" at the moment.

To be honest though, if you want bigger than 56" you should really look into a front projector, and a smaller TV for 'normal' viewing when 56" + is just too big.

I currently have a 6 year old Toshiba 56" and whilst it has been a faithful servant it really needs putting out to pasture! I have got to have at least the same size. Unfortunately a projector is out of the question because of room logistics etc.

What is wrong with the Sagem stand/speaker? - If it is a space issue then OK, otherwise the Sagem seems to be the best bet from the balance of posts (IHMO):D

    Cheers:hiya:

I need something like the Sony KDFE50A12. I have 2 soundstyle racks each side of the TV. I do not want to buy another rack for the new Tv to stand on. I need something that comes with its own stand so i can put the center speaker on it as i realize it will not go on top of the newer DLP tv's!

    Redjay,
Im in a similar position with an old 4:3 50" back projector, I am considering the RD65 which I think will give me the same picture height as my 50".

If NTSC is not an issue its worth considering at the new price I think... Toshiba 62" sounds interesting too.... maybe a bit longer on the fence.

I have loads of US DVD's that i have imported over the years so NTSC is vital. These Tosh sets have been talked about for about a year now but no sign yet!!
