AFAIK, it's supposed to be a hyper-intelligent shade of the colour of blue (List of races and species in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - Wikipedia).

Ordered one should arrive soon. Got 2 of the Mc462 which I am very pleased with. I was not too crazy about the meter myself but its grown on me. Now I just need something to run my Atmos speakers but my Integra 9 ch will have to until maybe another mc257.

Certainly. I believe the Mcintosh factory was closed but recently opened up. Any day now though

Yeah, when the villagers came up from the town and killed Mr McIntosh's monster, obviously there was some sort of customer service/union issues.
